2012 MEURSAULT, Les Tillets, Patrick Javillier, Burgundy (Half Bottle)

Bin:  899

Alcohol percentage:  13%

Area:

Meursault is the northernmost of the renowned white wine villages, coming before Chasagne and Puligny. Its reputation is for golden, nutty, rich whites. Nowadays producers are aiming for something more fine and delicate

Grape variety:

100% Chardonnay, 18 months in oak, approx 30% new

Producer:

Patrick Javillier is an urbane and intelligent man, representing the modern face of Meursault. This cuvée is from a vineyard (named after an ancient lime found in the area) high on the hillside above the village, normally producing a light and fresh style

Maturity potential:

2014-20120 – but in halves drink until 2018

Old Bridge rating:

Fine example of modern Meursault – not a big, rich wine but certainly one with substance and vivacity

£27.00

£25.65 per bottle in a mixed case of 6 bottles
