Rias Baixas is the premium area for white wine in Galicia, in north east Spain. O Rosal is an inner sub-region, a warmer site that produced wines with a touch more richness. This is from a single 38 hectare estate.
80% Albariño, 8% Loureiro, 5% Caino Blanco, 4% Treixacura, 7% Godello; all fermented cool, blended and bottled young to retain maximum freshness.
Santiago Ruiz was founded in 1860 and is now managed by Rosa Ruiz. A brand new winery was completed in 2007.
Lovely balance of delicate fruit and salty minerality. Really reflects the coastal feel of the label.
